- Egg Production Rate
Group | Before Use | After Use |
Test Group 1 (50 weeks) | 90.55% | 90.56% |
Test Group 2 (59 weeks) | 87.96% | 88.53% |
Test Group 3 (53 weeks) | 89.86% | 89.9% |
Control Group (38 weeks) | 94.77% | 94.34% |
Under continuous high-temperature conditions in Guangdong, laying hens over 50 weeks old in the test groups showed slight improvements in egg production rate, while the control group (32 weeks old) decreased by 0.43%.
In the second phase of the trial, when Test Group 2 was converted into a control group and microbial use was stopped, the egg production rate decreased by 0.2%.
- Average Eggshell Thickness (mm)
Group | Before Use | After Use |
Test Group 1 (50 weeks) | 0.34 | 0.33 |
Test Group 2 (38 weeks) | 0.33 | 0.34 |
Test Group 3 (53 weeks) | 0.32 | 0.35 |
Control Group (59 weeks) | 0.33 | 0.32 |
In terms of eggshell thickness, the test groups generally showed improvement, while the control group and Test Group 1 showed slight decreases, possibly due to insufficient microbial dosage.
- Eggshell Strength (N)
Group | Before Use | After Use |
Test Group 1 (50 weeks) | 42.4 | 39.9 |
Test Group 2 (38 weeks) | 43.4 | 46.5 |
Test Group 3 (53 weeks) | 38.2 | 38.4 |
Control Group (59 weeks) | 38.8 | 35 |
Analysis of eggshell strength shows that the lower probiotic dosage in Test Group 1 led to a decrease in strength. A similar decline was observed in the control group of hens over 50 weeks old.
In Test Group 2 (30 weeks old), eggshell strength increased significantly to 46.5 N. Test Group 3, with a higher dosage, maintained stable eggshell strength despite older flock age.
- Manure Condition
During the first trial, after 3 days of probiotic application, manure condition improved significantly: watery and undigested feed feces decreased, droppings became more formed, and odor in the house was clearly reduced.
The second trial showed consistent results, indicating that the fermented probiotic solution has a clear positive effect on maintaining intestinal health.
