Abstract
Recently, the "14th Five-Year Plan" National Key R&D Program "Synergistic Technologies and Demonstration for Soil Health Maintenance and Productivity Enhancement in Medium-Low Yield Fields in Northern Arid Regions" was officially launched, led by the Institute of Agricultural Environment and Sustainable Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
As one of the key participants in this project, Green Nitrogen Biotech is responsible for the development of one of its sub-projects, dedicated to enhancing the fertility of northern arid lands and promoting sustainable agricultural production through the application of intelligent microecological expansion technology.

During the research and development process, Green Nitrogen Biotechnology will undertake the sub-project research task of "Integration of Key Functional Microbial Community Regulation and Ecosystem Health Reconstruction Technology in Arid Region Farmland Soils." Based on its independently developed DME-25 intelligent expansion and cultivation machine, the company will conduct research on microbial agent application technology.
It is reported that the arid regions in northern China cover an area of approximately 4.966 million square kilometers, with the Loess Plateau region experiencing harsh natural environments characterized by annual precipitation of 300-500 millimeters. Long-term intensive farming has led to the loss of soil biodiversity and multifunctionality, severely threatening farmland soil health.
By screening strains suitable for improving the current soil conditions in these regions, reconstructing the soil microecological environment is one of the key measures to enhance soil fertility.

Through screening strains suitable for spraying or compatible with integrated water-fertilizer systems, we determine optimal application timing and dosage for microbial agents. This establishes technical protocols for synthetic microbial agents in diversified planting systems for arid regions, aiming to create large-scale application solutions and demonstration zones in typical northern arid farming scenarios.
Within these demonstration areas, we will selectively screen key functional microbial strains with drought resistance, water retention, carbon sequestration, and growth-promoting properties. Leveraging extensive microbial resources, we develop multifunctional synthetic microbial communities adapted to arid conditions. Through optimization of these microbial communities, we innovate new products and technologies for enhancing soil biodiversity and cultivating healthy soils, with primary objectives of nurturing, maintaining, and strengthening key functional microbial groups.
Green Nitrogen Biotech has long been committed to applying and promoting biotechnology in agriculture, continuously developing more efficient and eco-friendly solutions through sustained research and innovation.
Participation in this National Key R&D Program aims to strengthen scientific exploration of soil health maintenance and productivity enhancement in northern arid regions, driving the modernization and sustainable development of dryland agriculture in northern China, and injecting new vitality into soil health and agricultural productivity improvement in these areas.

Through participating in this national research project, Green Nitrogen Biotech will continuously enhance its scientific research capabilities, strengthen the integration of technological innovation with practical applications, and contribute more to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
