The "14th Five-Year Plan for Bioeconomy Development" issued by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) highlights the need to adapt to the new trend of shifting from "meeting basic needs" to "diversified nutrition." It advocates for the development of bio-agriculture to support agricultural modernization, the creation of agricultural products including soil-improving biological agents, and the promotion of cutting-edge biotechnologies for efficient carbon and nitrogen fixation. These efforts aim to enhance the utilization efficiency of land and resources.

At the signing ceremony, representatives from both parties expressed their expectations and perspectives on this collaboration. Researcher Wei Hailei stated: "This cooperation is the result of complementary resources and advantages. We anticipate that through this collaboration, we will further promote more opportunities and breakthroughs in the application of microbial resources in China, thereby making greater contributions to the sustainable development of agriculture and ecological environmental protection in our country."

Dr. Ma Ruiqiang, CEO of Green Nitrogen Biotech, stated: "The application of beneficial microorganisms can enhance the nutrient absorption efficiency of crops, reduce the use of chemical fertilizers, and mitigate the negative environmental impacts of agriculture. It is a great honor to collaborate with the National Bacterial Strain Resource Bank. This partnership will provide us with a richer microbial resource base and better technical support. We will fully leverage our R&D and industrialization capabilities to develop more innovative products, contributing more technological strength to the sustainable development of agriculture and ecology."

Green Nitrogen Biotech assistance Launches 'Hundred Counties, Ten Thousand Acres' Initiative! On-site Fermentation Technology Activates Farmland Potential, Inviting Counties Nationwide to Jointly Build Green Farmland

Currently, China's crop productivity growth faces constraints due to soil degradation, monoculture barriers, excessive reliance on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and water scarcity. On March 16,2025, the research team of the National Key R&D Program "Synergistic Technologies and Demonstration for Soil Health Maintenance and Productivity Enhancement in Medium-Low Yield Fields in Northern Arid Regions" launched the "Demonstration Initiative for Soil Health and Yield Improvement in 100 Counties and 10,000 Hectares" in Beijing. Centered on microbial technology, the project aims to establish 10,000 hectares of demonstration fields across 100 counties within two years, promoting green agricultural development and exploring a win-win path for ecological and economic benefits.
